Nitto is one of only a limited number of organizations worldwide that have advanced a systemically administered siRNA-LNP therapeutic into clinical development and is among the first companies to have conducted a clinical study of a ligand-conjugated ctLNP formulation. As one example, Nitto reported a VHH†-conjugated, CD8⁺ T cell-targeted LNP enabling in vivo CAR-T generation in Nano Letters (2026; see URL below).* The paper shows that targeting efficiency depends on ligand density in a bell-shaped manner (an optimal density exists) — excessive density is detrimental — establishing the importance of ligand-density control. The ctLNP formulation described in the paper is available for feasibility study (FS).
