Reset Map5 Hwarang-ro 14-gil Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, 02792 South KoreaKIST Embarks on a New Journey, the Next 50 Years, to bring Quality to Life and Build a Creative Economy based on Science and Technology The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) is a science and technology institute working to bring better quality of life to all people by preparing for the future. KIST was founded as the first S&T research institute of Korea in 1966 and since then, it has continually played a leading role in national development. Many government-funded research institutes have been modeled after KIST and as such, KIST has set the standards to become the national think tank of science and technology. This is a banner year for our institute. KIST celebrated its 50th anniversary in February 2016. We are putting all our efforts to launch the next 50 years by meeting global challenges such as aging society and energy-food-resources shortages head on while preparing for the new future with convergence research and open cooperation. In addition, KIST is concentrating its research capability to making sure our research outcomes will translate into greater competitiveness for Korean businesses. We believe that science and technology will become the foundation in firmly establishing a creative economy. Given that KIST was born out of international development aids, we believe it is timely to return the favor by disseminating the KIST model, a science-based official development assistance (ODA), thereby contributing to the betterment of the global community while enhancing Korea’s status in the world. As KIST is preparing to tackle the next 50 years, all members at KIST promise to journey into the new 50 years with even more enthusiasm and hard work to open up the new future for the people and society.

The Contract Research Map is owned and maintained by Scientist.com. It was created to help researchers in the life sciences identify and connect with contract research organizations (CROs) based on geography. Updated nightly, this map features all of the available CROs within our network, so you can order services with a few clicks. Click on a specific country, scroll on the map itself or type into the search bar at the top—there are many ways to find the location and suppliers that you’re looking for. From Argentina to New Zealand, use this map to connect with a CRO near you.
We believe that every researcher across the world should be able to connect with the thousands of global CROs that exist and have the opportunity to work together. Like many industries, the life science supply chain has been disrupted over the last year. But there are many other circumstances such as international customs regulations or sensitive shipping times that create limitations around which countries are feasible to partner with. Sometimes, finding a CRO based in a country that best suits your research needs is imperative. We hope this contract research map allows you to find the right partner in the right place at the right time.
Have questions or feedback? We’d love to help. You can find our FAQs and contact information on the Learn more page.
