CAMS, established in 1956, is the country's largest multidisciplinary institution for biomedical research. PUMC, founded in 1917 by Rockefeller foundation, is the only key medical university in China that carries an eight-year curriculum. CAMS and PUMC are under the leadership by the same governing body overseeing all affairs of medical research, education and patient care. The ILAS, is a unique comprehensive institute for research, education, service and production of laboratory animals in China. Its mission is to build up ILAS as a world-class bases of comparative medical research and laboratory animal model development, which would support drug discovery, vaccine development, and researches on pathogenic mechanisms of several human diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer disease, infectious diseases, etc.. On the basis of its research laboratories in Comparative Medical Center, Genetic Center, Pathogen Experimental Research Center and Laboratory Animal Resource Center, ILAS has developed a technology supporting system open to the researchers all over the country in the field of engineering animal models, laboratory animal pathology, imaging analysis, laboratory animal behavior analysis, infection disease animal models. The ILAS is certified by China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories, in which the GLP system of ILAS is certified by China SFDA. The ILAS is also one of the organizations in China accredited by AAALAC International. The institute is dedicating to the development of animal models for fateful diseases, and emerging infectious diseases, establishing systems for genetic engineering, embryo preservation, quality control, sharing laboratory animal resources, and professional training. The institute is ready to position itself as a strong support for life science research in China. The Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences (CALAS), and Chinese Laboratory Animal Standardization Committee (CLASC) are two affiliated societies of the institute. Two journals of ACTA Laboratorium Animalis Scientia Sinica and Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine published by CALAS, are the national levels of scientific periodicals in China.

The Contract Research Map is owned and maintained by Scientist.com. It was created to help researchers in the life sciences identify and connect with contract research organizations (CROs) based on geography. Updated nightly, this map features all of the available CROs within our network, so you can order services with a few clicks. Click on a specific country, scroll on the map itself or type into the search bar at the top—there are many ways to find the location and suppliers that you’re looking for. From Argentina to New Zealand, use this map to connect with a CRO near you.
We believe that every researcher across the world should be able to connect with the thousands of global CROs that exist and have the opportunity to work together. Like many industries, the life science supply chain has been disrupted over the last year. But there are many other circumstances such as international customs regulations or sensitive shipping times that create limitations around which countries are feasible to partner with. Sometimes, finding a CRO based in a country that best suits your research needs is imperative. We hope this contract research map allows you to find the right partner in the right place at the right time.
Have questions or feedback? We’d love to help. You can find our FAQs and contact information on the Learn more page.
