4320 Forest Park Avenue, Suite 302 Saint Louis, MO 63110The Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) was established in 2007 as a joint partnership between Washington University in St. Louis (WU) and BJC HealthCare to consolidate and organize disparate informatics groups. The CBMI is a multi departmental initiative that spans many schools such as Engineering and Medicine at WU. Furthermore, the CBMI has extensive collaborations with WU centers and institutes and partnerships with global informatics initiatives and other academic centers in the region. The CBMI has four broad goals: Develop and maintain the electronic infrastructure needed to facilitate clinical and translational research in a safe and ethical manner and in full compliance with prevailing regulations. Promote the use of electronic resources to maximize the safety and quality of patient care at WU and BJC practice sites and to ensure that advances in medical science are translated into improvements in patient care as rapidly as possible. Develop comprehensive training programs in biomedical informatics for scientists and health care professionals. Develop biomedical informatics as an academic discipline at WU. Active collaborations between faculty from multiple schools and departments including computer science, biomedical engineering, physics, biology and medicine will be essential for realizing this goal.

How do I get my organization listed on the map?
If your CRO isn’t showing up on the map, then please be sure your company profile is up to date in Scientist.com’s Backoffice. After logging in, click the Your Company button in the navigation at the top, and then select the Locations tab.
Information about my organization is incorrect, how do I fix it?
Head over to backoffice.scientist.com to update your supplier profile and information. It may take up to two business days for the updates to be reflected on the map.
