430 Avenue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny Marseille, 13009 FranceAlphenyx is a French biotech company specialized in sourcing and custom-made transformation of Human Biological Samples for research use, in particular for toxicity and efficacy testing, as an alternative solution to animal testing. Alphenyx propose custom-made services in R&D to support pharmaceutic, chemical or cosmetic industries, biotech companies and academic research. Alphenyx therefore focuses on developing "research tools" derived from human tissues. 90% of Alphenyx activities are focused on skin tissues, but other tissue types (cartilages, bones, spleen, tumors….) can be collected and processed on request, following the same regulatory and ethic procedures. We established a broad and local tissue-acquisition network, which allows a rapid sourcing of Human Biological Samples in our laboratories for optimal quality/viability. We propose a large choice of human skin tissue preparation, like fresh skin explants, frozen skin or dermatomed skin discs... and our SkinAbs® model specially designed for skin permeation studies. We also propose skin primary cells (keratinocytes, melanocytes, fibroblasts), isolated from fresh skin explants the day of the surgery, cryopreserved at low passage and fully characterized by flow cytometry for optimal quality. We also propose a full range of blood cells like PBMCs, B cells, T cells, monocytes..., isolated from fresh blood and fully characterized by flow cytometry for optimal quality. Regulatory and Bio-ethical Policies When working with human tissues, high regulatory and ethical standard are mandatory. Alphenyx complies with the Council of Europe regulations for Protection of Human Rights and Dignity of the Human Being with regard to the Application of Biology and Medicine: Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine. Alphenyx possesses the required accreditations for the collection, transformation, storage and use and/or cession of human-origin tissues and body fluids for research use only, issued from the French Ministry of High Education, Research and Innovation, with the approval of the Committee of Person Protection (French National Ethic Committee). Alphenyxhas also obtained an authorization of exportation for research use. Moreover, Alphenyx is registered to the CNIL and respects data protection policies for clinical and biological information collected from volunteering donors. ALPHENYX has high ethical standards to protect its volunteering donors. Each donation is voluntary and not remunerated. No sample is collected before donors signed the Informed Consent Form. Each donation is totally anonymous and Alphenyx proceeds with a rigorous double de-identification procedure of obtained samples, assuring donor’s full anonymity. Safety Policies ALPHENYX provides a Certificate of Analyses for each of its human-derived products. All donors are tested negative for the presence of HIV 1 & 2, hepatitis B and C viruses. Blood tests are carried out under cooperation with accredited and independent laboratories. Quality Standards Our aim is to provide high quality products and services. We dedicate ourselves to our customers and research partners to offer them full satisfaction.
The Contract Research Map is owned and maintained by Scientist.com. It was created to help researchers in the life sciences identify and connect with contract research organizations (CROs) based on geography. Updated nightly, this map features all of the available CROs within our network, so you can order services with a few clicks. Click on a specific country, scroll on the map itself or type into the search bar at the top—there are many ways to find the location and suppliers that you’re looking for. From Argentina to New Zealand, use this map to connect with a CRO near you.
We believe that every researcher across the world should be able to connect with the thousands of global CROs that exist and have the opportunity to work together. Like many industries, the life science supply chain has been disrupted over the last year. But there are many other circumstances such as international customs regulations or sensitive shipping times that create limitations around which countries are feasible to partner with. Sometimes, finding a CRO based in a country that best suits your research needs is imperative. We hope this contract research map allows you to find the right partner in the right place at the right time.
Have questions or feedback? We’d love to help. You can find our FAQs and contact information on the Learn more page.
