2945 Wilderness PlaceFounded in 2000, SomaLogic® is a global leader in proteomics. Our pioneering SomaScan® Platform provides more coverage of the proteome than any other technology from only 55 µL of a variety of body fluids, including plasma, serum, CSF, urine, and more. We currently measure 7,000 proteins – more than twice as many as any other proteomics platform – and we are quickly moving toward 10,000 proteins. The proprietary SomaScan Assay measures proteins with high specificity, high throughput, and high reproducibility, which enables the possibility of faster, more precise drug discovery. Our A.I. and machine learning-powered bioinformatics algorithms, operated in tandem with the company’s database of more than 550,000 protein samples, helped to create a growing suite of SomaSignal™ tests. These tests are clinical proteomic diagnostics that provide additional insights into the current health status of patients and the future risk of conditions and diseases. Custom and disease-specific panels are also available for a more targeted approach. Our key disease areas: Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Neurology, Oncology/Immunology, Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and Rare Disease

13243 E. 23rd. Ave, MS F441 Aurora, CO 80045The Perinatal Research Center (PRC) is the longest standing research and educational program at the University of Colorado Denver’s Anschutz Medical Campus. Faculty who conduct studies at the Center are on the leading edge of research in maternal, placental, and fetal physiology. The PRC supports the Division of Perinatal Medicine, which is managed by the Section of Neonatology and the Department of Pediatrics. Other primary participating research and educational programs include the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Maternal-Fetal Medicine Program, the Pediatric Heart Lung Center and the Laboratory for Lung Development. Research at the PRC primarily involves reproductive and developmental physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. The research is conducted in pregnant sheep, an internationally recognized standard model for studying maternal, placental, and fetal physiology. The principal aims of the research are to better understand the processes involved in fetal growth and development and the mechanisms that regulate such growth and development under normal and pathological conditions. Additionally, the studies of fetal growth provide a greater understanding of how aberrant fetal growth can lead to poor reproductive outcome (such as intrauterine growth restriction), neonatal disease (such as persistent pulmonary hypertension), and adult disorders that have their origins during fetal life (such as obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease). All of the research is supported by nationally competitive grants.

U.S. Air Force Academy CO, 80840 United StatesThe Air Force Academy is both a military organization and a university. Much of the Academy is set up like most other Air Force bases, particularly the 10th Air Base Wing, but the superintendent, commandant, dean of faculty and cadet wing are set up in a manner resembling a civilian university. The Superintendent is the Academy's commanding officer and is responsible for the Academy's regimen of military training, academics, athletic and character development programs. The Commandant oversees the 4,400-member cadet wing and more than 300 Air Force and civilian support personnel and is responsible for cadet military training and Airmanship education, supervising cadet life activities and providing support to facilities and logistics. The Dean of Faculty commands a 700-person mission element and oversees annual course design and instruction of more than 500 courses crossing 32 academic disciplines and directs the operation of five support staff agencies and faculty resources involving more than $250 million. The 10th Air Base Wing comprises more than 3,000 military, civilian and contract personnel who conduct all base-level support activities, including law enforcement and force protection, civil engineering, communications, logistics, military and civilian personnel, financial management, services and the clinic, for a military community of about 25,000 people.

Anschutz Medical CampusRC1-North, Room 5222A Aurora, CO 80045Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM) is a technique that allows scientists to lift specifically targeted cells from a section of tissue, leaving behind unwanted cells that could contaminate the molecular purity of subsequent analysis. This technology, which was developed in the late 1990s at NIH in collaboration with bioengineering and cancer pathology groups, is precise, accurate and semi-automated. LCM uses a laser beam to activate a special transfer film. The film bonds to cells that have been identified and targeted by microscopy. From this film, macromolecules can be isolated and studied in downstream analyses. An infrared (IR) laser is used for single cells and small populations of cells, while an ultraviolet (UV) laser can be used for large populations of cells. Starting tissue sections (5-7um) can be frozen or fixed/paraffin embedded, however it is ideal to use frozen sections for most downstream applications.

501 20 ST. Greeley, CO, 80639UNC offers students the best educational experience in Colorado, not just because we have amazing academic programs, but also because our professors are talented, innovative teachers who bring research to students in the classroom and in the field. By connecting teaching and research UNC offers students a unique experience with 200 undergraduate and graduate programs on-campus, off-campus and online. A 4-year doctoral-granting university, UNC is uniquely positioned to advance knowledge through discovery because of its just-right size, expert faculty and tradition of research and hands-on learning. The history of The University of Northern Colorado begins in the late 1880s, when citizens of Greeley petitioned the Colorado government to create a school to educate teachers in their community. In April 1889 Governor Cooper signed a bill establishing the Colorado State Normal School. Classes began in October of the next year. The university opened on October 6, 1890, as the Colorado State Normal School to train qualified teachers for the state's public schools, with a staff of four instructors and 96 students. Greeley's citizens raised the money for the first building. In 1911 the school's name was changed to Colorado State Teachers College and two years later, in 1913, graduate courses were added to the school’s curriculum, leading to a name change in 1935, when the school became the Colorado State College of Education. The school continues to grow, and in 1957 the name was shortened to Colorado State College to reflect the wider range of programs and degrees. Finally, in 1970 the name was changed to the current University of Northern Colorado.

The Contract Research Map is owned and maintained by Scientist.com. It was created to help researchers in the life sciences identify and connect with contract research organizations (CROs) based on geography. Updated nightly, this map features all of the available CROs within our network, so you can order services with a few clicks. Click on a specific country, scroll on the map itself or type into the search bar at the top—there are many ways to find the location and suppliers that you’re looking for. From Argentina to New Zealand, use this map to connect with a CRO near you.
We believe that every researcher across the world should be able to connect with the thousands of global CROs that exist and have the opportunity to work together. Like many industries, the life science supply chain has been disrupted over the last year. But there are many other circumstances such as international customs regulations or sensitive shipping times that create limitations around which countries are feasible to partner with. Sometimes, finding a CRO based in a country that best suits your research needs is imperative. We hope this contract research map allows you to find the right partner in the right place at the right time.
Have questions or feedback? We’d love to help. You can find our FAQs and contact information on the Learn more page.
